Observing log Thurs. Jan. 26 0

Posted on January 31, 2012 by Matt

Tonight I made observations in the V, R, I bands of variable star V0556 Cas.
I made 30 sec. exposures up to 15 exposures.
The star is supposedly a Cepheid variable.
I also tried to capture a minor planet of magnitude 20 , 2003 YK17.
After exposing for 2 mins. and blinking two images separated by 5 mins., I did not see the minor planet.
I will reinvesigate the star field to estimate dimmest magnitude.
Overall, seeing was fair, with FHWM of star profile being close to 7 tonight.
